# SMS

The **SMS** action will send an SMS to one or multiple recipients. The SMS subject and body can be enriched with data from the current sample from the data source, which is used in the condition that triggers the action. 

The [templating syntax](https://docs.akenza.io/api-reference/advanced-topics/message-templating) can be used to include properties of the data sample in the SMS subject or body.
