# Genio AI

Turn the Genio AI assistant on or off for an organization.

This setting controls whether [Genio](/genio/genio.md), the AI assistant built into akenza, is available in this organization.

Genio brings AI-powered insights and recommendations directly into the platform: answering questions about your device data in plain language, assembling reports, and helping interpret the health of a deployment from the organization and workspace home.

## Activating Genio

Open **Genio AI** on the [General settings](/device-management/managing-an-organization/general-settings.md) page, select **Activate Genio AI**, and save. The setting applies to the whole organization.

To provide these capabilities, akenza processes relevant data using AI services.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Your data is handled securely and is never used for AI model training.** See [Genio](/genio/genio.md) for how it reaches your data and which model serves it.
{% endhint %}

Leaving the setting off means no data from this organization is sent to those services, which is the option to choose if your own policies do not permit it.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.akenza.io/device-management/managing-an-organization/general-settings/genio-ai.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
