# Actions

Delete an organization.

The **Actions** section at the bottom of the [General settings](/device-management/managing-an-organization/general-settings.md) page holds the destructive operations for an organization.

## Delete organization

*Delete Organization* removes the organization.

Deleting an organization cannot be undone. It takes every workspace in the organization with it, and with them the devices, device data, integrations, data flows, and rules those workspaces hold, along with the organization's dashboards, custom device types, and logic blocks.

Before deleting, make sure anything you still need has been sent somewhere outside akenza, by exporting device data via the UI or reading it out through the [REST API](/reference/api-documentation.md).

Only the **organization owner** can delete an organization. If you want to hand it over rather than delete it, change the [organization owner](/device-management/managing-an-organization/general-settings.md) instead.
